This Cookie Policy explains how BigState ("BigState", "we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and related Services. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
We use cookies for sign-in and security, documentation preferences, and— only with your consent—Google Analytics. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not use Hotjar or similar tools.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies may include local storage or tags used by analytics providers. More general information is available at www.allaboutcookies.org.
2. Categories we use
2.1 Necessary (always on)
Required for authentication, CSRF protection, session continuity, and security. Without them you cannot sign in or use protected areas of the Services. These do not require consent.
- bigstate-site.authjs.* / bigstate-dashboard.authjs.* — Auth.js session and login security cookies (including session token, CSRF, and short-lived OIDC check cookies).
- bs_logged_in — indicates an authenticated browser session for routing.
2.2 Preferences
Remember choices in documentation (for example code sample language). Not used for advertising.
- language — preferred example language in docs.
- library — preferred SDK / library tab in docs.
2.3 Analytics (Google Analytics only, consent required)
If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics to understand aggregated traffic and page usage on our marketing site and documentation. Typical Google cookies include _ga and related identifiers. Analytics scripts are not loaded until you accept. See Google's Privacy Policy.
2.4 Consent preference
When our cookie banner is enabled, we store your choice (for example accept or reject analytics) in a first-party cookie such as cookie_consent so we can remember it on later visits.
2.5 Marketing
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies.
3. Your choices
Use the cookie banner (when shown) to accept or reject analytics. You can also control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may break sign-in. Google also offers an Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Contact
Questions about cookies: legal@bigstate.io or Contact. See also our Privacy Policy.
